Mold Inspections
A mold survey often begins by interviewing the client to determine relevant past and present events that could be related to current conditions. This is followed by a visual inspection to determine areas of concern. Observations are followed with air and surface sampling and oftentimes temperature, relative humidity, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide measurements. The visible components of the ventilation system may be examined. A moisture meter may be used to measure moisture content behind walls or ceilings. Many times, the exterior is examined to investigate a cause for exterior moisture intrusion.
Lab Analysis
Susan Flappan, Lab Director of FCI Lab, is a Pan American Aerobiology Certified Spore Trap Analyst (PAACB), one of 32 with this designation . Additionally, she has 30 years of experience in microbiology and microscopy, both in clinical and environmental settings.
Having an in-house lab allows FCI to deliver timely results if time is of the essence.
